What to Eat to Relieve Nausea
Being pregnant requires you healthy living style. Nutritious diets as well as enough light exercises are needed to reduce the feeling of nausea. These foods are believed to relieve nausea.
- When feeling nausea or vomiting your food out, some fresh-smelled might help you. Ginger and lemon, for instance are great helps for nausea. - Simple-boiled vegetables help you reducing nausea. Broccoli, spinach, or asparagus are among the best choices. They are enriched with folic acid that not only relieve your urge to vomit, but also giving your baby sufficient nutrition.
- Non-fat foods. When attacked by nausea, you will need to eat low-fat foods or snacks. Oatmeal or fruit bars are the most preferred. High-fat foods require longer time to digest so they might affect your digestive system and lead you to another nausea.
Other Things which Help
Besides the foods, some things are also able to reduce nausea.
- Take your time when waking up. In the morning, do not stand up directly after waking up. Take your time to sit back for a while. This might calm your stomach and prevent bad nausea.
- Stretch your back and neck in order to reduce the level of nausea, because back and neck pain will affect your nerve systems which can lead to the urge to vomit.
- Do not hold it up. When you have the urge to vomit, do not hold it up and swallow it back. When your body tells you that something need to go out, it is better to let it out. Most of the time, you will feel much better after vomiting.
- Eat small portion and frequently. Do not rush to finish your full plate. Only eat as much as your stomach can deal with.
- Try to always think positive. Negative thoughts or panicking may lead to continuous feeling of nauseous and hence, add vomiting frequency.
